Compatibility omnigraffle 3 and 5 Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes

I actually use omnigraffle 3.1.2 on my personnal computer, and I would buy and use omnigraffle 5 at my office. Somebody knows if I could read and modify new document create with Omni 5 in Omni 3 ?
What degree of compatibility will I find with these 2 applications?

Second possibility : I need to move from my powerbook and omnigraffle bundle to a new macbook pro. Can I upgrade the version 3 to 5 and use it on my new macbook pro?

Thank's for your help and excuse my bad english.
The file formats between version 3 and version 5 are compatible, some things like tables and subgraphs, etc. will open in version 3 as simple groups, and the new bezier lines in OmniGraffle 5 will open in previous versions as the curvy line type.

If you upgrade your bundled version on your PowerBook now, you'll be able to use that license for OmniGraffle 5 on other machines, like a MacBook Pro.

Hope that helps,
