OW beachballed on this article on Digg, http://digg.com/hardware/A_MacBook_P..._Dell_Inspiron

Camino, after 20 seconds or so of beachballing, gave me the option to axe the script as it has become "unresponsive"

Very slick error check and much better than OW going dead.

You know, that is an idea for a common issue I find in OW. Some people have referred to it as the stop button not working. Generally what happens is some script or something is running and causing OW to slow way down or beachball. It would be nice if OW offered a pref for how long it would spend trying to figure something out before it prompted a similar dialog. The options would be Continue, Stop, and Go to Previous Page.

It doesn't actually go dead, it just consumes 100% of the CPU for awhile then returns to normal.

It's due to a problem in WebKit:

We pay the Wisconsin sales tax online and it is telling me that I do not have javascript and/or cookies enable for this site: http://www.salestax.dor.state.wi.us even though I checked and they are enabled in OW SP11.

Safari works fine there.

Interestingly, if I quit OW and try and access the site it works once or twice. Then I get the same error again.

When trying to reserve rooms on the Red Roof Inn site

http://www.redroof.com/

the Submit button is not drawn at all on the page in sp11. The button is drawn properly in Safari and Webkit.

I originally posted this in its own thread -- sorry, I was unaware there was a thread already for this:

Go to http://ps2.ign.com (the direct link to the problem page is below)

Visit the "guides" section in the left nav. Note: you might need to be a member for some guides, so you'll need to sign up.

On the guides list, I clicked "The Godfather", or just go to http://guides.ign.com/guides/665843/

Click the "walkthrough" link (which is http://guides.ign.com/guides/665843/page_4.html )

You get a "sorry, page not found" page.

When I try this same scenario in Webkit, I get the correct page every time. Same for FF 1.5.

I've tried a few of the guides, and ALL the walkthrough links I've tried so far are broken the same way, but all work in Webkit or FF.

PostNuke Forum (registration required).

You can easily enough enter and read on the forum, but if you attempt to post, preview a post, or edit your prior posts -> you cannot get past the AJAX - JSON error message.

Works in FF 1.5.0.3, Safari Version 2.0.3 (417.9.3), Netscape and even (sigh) IE 5.2.

Does not work in OW 5.1.3.

I am having problems with Arstechnica forums. Its fine until I sign in. After that, it loads blank pages. The only way to get it back is to trash the cookies. Anyone else with this issue?

This site relies heavily on flash I believe, everything seems to be fine until you try to log in in order to purchase something...
