I agree that it's difficult for me to see a successful replacement of iCal. I mostly like it -- I just wish it and OF worked better together to create daily prints.

That is, I really like printing a daily schedule from iCal that shows my schedule along with the items I've flagged in OF that I expect to work on today. The problem? iCal sends over tasks for the due date (if I remember correctly), so there's no way for the items I want to work on to appear on the iCal printout. It means I need two printouts, one from iCal for my calendar and one from OF that shows the tasks I've flagged for today.

While not an elegant approach, would printing iCal and OF on opposite sides of the paper work?

Would it work?
That's really what I do now -- I can print my calendar and then I can print the OF list. It'd really be more work to print one, put the paper back into the printer, and then print the other.
And it would still look tacky.
