keyboard shortcut for "due today"? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Is there a keyboard shortcut for "due today." it's a bother to have to tab to the "due" field and have to type in the date, or "today" etc.

Typing "." in a date field...

The "." helps, thanks. I still would like a shortcut where I don't have to tab over to "due."

Are you willing to use a toolbar button? You could install Dan Byler's Today script.

Thanks. That is awesome. I used Keyboard Maestro to trigger the script with a keyboard shortcut; works great!

So if I am in the due date field and type in a . it should put in today's date? Why does it put in March 1 instead?

Looks like that doesn't work any longer. Probably a regression — I can't think of any reason why one would need a one-key shortcut for the first day of the current month, can you?

So I am not the only one.

I concluded later that "." just puts in the first day of the month (why, I don't know), and it just happened that I answered the question on the first day of the month, so it appeared to work!
