How can you get the date/estimate columns to STAY on in the "default" (clear perspectives) view?

How can you get the date/estimate columns to STAY on in the "default" (clear perspectives) view?

I find the date columns disappearing, even when using a perspective that had them showing, when the perspective was defined (snapshot icon). I figure this is one area that's under development, give Omni time to beat out the bugs.
