Syncing with iCal (everything duplicated) Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
When I sync from Omnifocus to iCal on the desktop (10.5.7) I get everything twice in the todos list.

This used to happen but seemed to put itself right with one of the updates. It has now come back for no apparent reason.

Any help appreciated.

It seems that everything from the various contexts in Omni duplicated itself back into my Inbox during one of the syncs and this inturn replicated itself back to iCal - effectively doubling everything up. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Is anything else syncing with the iCal to-do database? OmniFocus (and most other applications that sync to-dos) use the URL field to keep track of your actions even if the names change.

Unfortunately, to-dos can have exactly 1 URL in that field; if some other application changed the contents of that field, it would make your existing actions look like brand-new ones in OmniFocus.

We've also heard of cases where a customer was syncing OmniFocus with iCal on multiple macs that were themselves being synced via MobileMe - that could also cause OmniFocus to get confused...

If those situations don't sound like what you're seeing, contact our support ninjas and we'll be happy to assist.
