Feature Request - More Like iPhone Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
This must have been suggested at some point here before - but why not make the desktop more like the iPhone app.

Remove perspectives from the menu bar and put them in the side bar instead. For example, you could put folders for the inbox, projects, contexts, due items, flagged items, and custom perspectives (or smart folders) all within the side bar.

If you reorganize the app this way, you could get rid of the mode switching between the context and project views by replacing them with a kind of smart folder in the side bar.

We learned a lot while building OmniFocus 1, and as you can see we've refined our original design as part of building OmniFocus 1 for iPhone. We are continuing to refine that design with OmniFocus 2 for Mac, and I hope you'll like what you see once it's ready!
