Is there a way to make a drawing in OmniGraffle, and fill in certain text strings from an external file each time the file is opened?
For example, imagine a drawing of a building floor plan, with slots for name and phone number in each office. The names and numbers would be extracted from a file. Say in XML format. That file, of course, could be created by extracting it from whatever other database one desired.
Text strings is the obvious data format.. might also include others such as graphics. If OmniGraffle has a scriptable open and print, then producing useful drawings from data could be automated.
