I just installed OF 1.7.5 on my Macm, hoping to be able to try the software out for a few weeks before deciding to transition from Toodledo. Unfortunately, it asks for a license and does not allow me to run it without one. I cannot find a trial request form on the website. Has the trial program been discontinued?

It hasn't been discontinued, but it sounds like you might have tried it in the past. You'll need to contact Omni directly about getting another trial. Email omnifocus@omnigroup.com or call 1-800-315-OMNI.

This is a shared machine at work so it is not at all unlikely that someone has tried it in the past indeed.

I am reluctant to ask for an extension to a trial I didn't even know existed (or when it started). Anyway, thanks for your help. I will try to evaluate the product based on user's reports and reviews on the web.

Talk to Omni about it -- they don't bite, and are interested in selling their product to you if it is a good match. The best way to determine that is to try it out :-)
