confused on styles Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I have a document, and I want to change the style on all my existing rows. I go to the style palette and click all level 3 rows, for example. If I change something in the inspector, it is not consistently changing those rows -- it works for some, but not others even though they are all highlighted. I tried watching the tutorial and reading the manual, but I still must not be understanding the way the palette is supposed to work.

Edit: I guess I had to clear styles first. I wish there was a way to do that without overriding selected bold text, etc. I'm pretty sure other apps manage to do that, don't they?

Fred,

Have you checked to make sure that there isn't particular styling for those rows? OO handles styling much like CSS, working from the general to the particular. So particular styles applied to individual rows will over-ride general styles.
