If you hilight text in another app (not OmniWeb) and select "Search in Google" it will open Safari, even if OmniWeb is set as the default browser.

If you hilight text in another app (not OmniWeb) and select "Search in Google" it will open Safari, even if OmniWeb is set as the default browser.

I think that's because that feature is a service of Safari. Either way, the handling of the default browser and such actions is done by the OS.
