In response to my request for "the ability to open an ofocus file on a jump drive and have the changes automatically save to that file (and to have OmniFocus automatically revert to the local .ofocus file when that window is closed)," Support Ninja Michaela M. mentioned that "With the jump drive, many of our users are doing this already by simlinking, however, there is no way to sync what is on the drive to the application support folder."

I looked simlinking up, and it appears to be a Unix-based version of using an alias file. Being lazy and mildly Unix-challenged, I tried using an alias in the application support folder. It rejected my license and made me quit the application. When I put the original file back, all was fixed.

So, I guess I have to use an actual simlink. Does anyone know how to do that? And if so, could you share this information?
