Backups and OF files outside the normal location

I occasionally carry my OF doc on a thumb drive, copy it to a different computer (for speed purposes) that has OF on it, double-click it to open and edit it.

I don't want that file backed up on this non-primary computer. How are backups of these kinds of files handled, for example, if I have backup "when quitting" checked and I quit OF? Is that file backed up, or only the 'normal' one: ~/Library/Application Support/OmniFocus/OmniFocus.ofocus/ ?
