Is there an easy way to change an action into a project when you realize that it requires several actions to get done ... a simple right-click would be nice

The problem with outdenting is that it makes subsequent actions in the project or single action bucket into children of the new project, instead of leaving them in the original project/bucket.
In project view, you can drag the action over to the sidebar to promote it to a project.
