I think some developers are also waiting for a 10.5.2 OS X Leopard massive update to release their updates.

I am not totally sure , it could be my imagination.

Some Applications actually got hit by Leopard core OS bugs. As they can't fix the underlying OS, they simply wait for 10.5.2 to ship with necessary updates.
