Do you or will you support importing tasks or other data elements from Outlook?

When you say Outlook, do you mean Entourage?
We tried to get our clipping service working with Entourage and there seemed to be some problems on the Entourage side of things. So we've currently shelved that effort. If integration with Entourage is important to you, I encourage you to email our Support Ninjas (omnifocus@omnigroup.com) so that your feedback is properly tallied.

Not Entourage... MS Outlook. I just switched over from the Dark Side but would like to import my existing tasks out of Outlook.

There's no direct route. One possibility is if you can persuade Outlook to export a list of actions to something close to plain text. Open that in TextEdit or something and copy/paste from there into OmniFocus.

How about a CSV import function? This would allow a person to import a variety of data fields from other applications.

You can use Help --> Send Feedback to submit feature requests.

If you rename your .csv to .txt OmniOutliner will open it; reorganize it as needed; OF will import an OO document.

Writing a given format is often much easier than being able to read it!
