I just upgraded from 3 to 4 and have to do buttons on the left hand side of each row. I can find no way to eliminate them.
I had expected to find some option to create outlines with to do buttons but not have them be the default.
Can you help me.

Never mind. I found the checkbox on/off switch. Too bad one can't have checkboxes at a more granular level--one item or an item and it's children. But not the whole outline.

On the rows where you don't want checkboxes, try Edit->Set Status->None.
Hope that helps!

How can I control this by rule? What if I want, for example, checkboxes only on level 1 rows?
