If I choose to export a file in Photoshop format (psd), will the layers be exported as well? If this won't work with psd, is there any other format besides the native format that will allow me to export the layers?

It seems to flatten the image, unless I've done something wrong. As an alternative if export a layer at a time you could join them together again in Photoshop Then again, what do I know? I'm a mere beginner!
